I think your bigging the film up a bit to be honest….possibly one of the most boringly annoying films i’ve ever watched!

If you read the DVD box, you will see, proudly, the words “From the director of Signs.”

If that did’t do for you, bearing in mind your now classic rant (they still talk about that one in hushed tones down at the multiplex!), then you only have yourself to blame.

That said, killer trees sounds awful and tres Triffids.

If I can prevent just one person seeing The Happening it will have been a day well spent.

You’d have a better time pushing a knitting needle through your hand for two hours than you’d have watching this film.

The problem here is that you paint such an appallingly bleak picture of this movie that one feels compelled to see it simply out of morbid curiosity although I’m mindful of your warning that it doesn’t even manage to fall into the category of “so bad it’s good” when we discussed it previously. Also, the output of M. Night Shymalan has been on a fairly severe downward spiral since the (quite excellent, IMO) Sixth Sense so I think I’m probably going to have to give this one a miss as life is just too short…
